Personality & Trauma-Related Disorders

Personality disorders involve enduring patterns of behavior, cognition, and inner experience that deviate from cultural expectations and cause significant distress or impairment. Trauma-related disorders, such as PTSD, result from exposure to traumatic events. Treatment often includes psychotherapy, such as dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) for personality disorders and trauma-focused CBT for PTSD, to help individuals manage symptoms and improve functioning.
